This book truly amazed me with how it goes from horror/gore to oddly charming soft moments. The triggers are definitely to be checked before venturing into this story. But if it's something you can handle, then in the second half of the book you would discover an oddly sweet story of devotion and being one with nature that is beyond human comprehention. The characters were lovely and I can definitely see how they were inspired by Adam and Eve. I love this take of the biblical myth of creation. I look forward to the other stories of this universe. The author really knows how to write in a style that's accessible and snacky at the same time.
extremely based novella!! never have i felt such absolute yearning for something so absolutely horrific!
-this was somehow a comforting read when it wasn't making me feel violently ill. something about the freedom they have, with their bodies with each other and with the life they live. sigh. don't we really all want to be transgender bug bible monsters.
-ender/echo dynamic is well thought out and complex and really fun on page?? i like their subtle power dynamic thing they have going on. plus the co-dependency. i'm obsessed with echo so much you have no idea she's so. i'm shaking her in a jar. ender is creature as well.
-i got the physical copy and its so pretty and awesome. i like holding it. i especially like the little illustrations/ plant thing page divider. sorry if these are all quite mundane thoughts. i liked it a lot.
i'm obsessed with them. thank you so much for writing.
Yes! This is the first in a horror erotica romance series with a trans woman and a trans man, I have 4 free/pwyw companion shorts with the same characters under my "tales of genesis" collection. "Membrane" is also trans m/ trans f and "A Magnolia Dies And Blooms" is trans m/ trans m/ trans f.
